Community Spotlight: La Huerta

La Huerta, Ajijic, Lake Chapala

La Huerta, which is also known as The Orchard Garden due to the many fruit trees that were planted during development, features immaculate tree lined streets, low monthly fees, and utter tranquility in an adult community of only 35 homes. La Huerta is situated on the western edge of Ajijic in the area called Tio Domingo. Close enough to walk to the village, and yet you are far enough away to avoid the village noise! It is an easy walk to superb restaurants, the Tuesday organic market, a general store, an authentic french pastry shop, and the Corazon de Malta Brew House, featuring a dozen on-site home brewed beers and excellent food. In fact, West Ajijic is THE place to be with many new stores and services moving outward from the village.

La Huerta Community common areas are beautifully landscaped and the winding interlock brick streets are great for that early morning power walk - or a leisurely evening stroll. Back yards are separated with screening that is overgrown with vines and hedges. The gardens are surrounded by lush vegetation and are private. The majority of the homes in La Huerta were built by well-known developer, Jaime Hernandez who has developed many communities in Guadalajara and area.

La Huerta homes are 'homes on lots', meaning that they are detached homes on decent sized lots with grass and foliage around each home.

While there are no common facilities in this development, there is a small sitting park in the center of the complex. A great way to meet up with neighbors!
